THIRTY YEARS AFTER BREXIT by FRANCIS BECKETT 7.30pm, Monday 16th October - North London Tavern

Brexit, says Francis Beckett, was essentially a project aimed at turning Britain into a low-tax low-regulation economy. This play paints a picture of London as it could be in the future, with Londoners begging on the streets for scraps from tourists...

Francis Beckett is a journalist, author, playwright and contemporary historian. His last two plays – A Modest Little Man (about Clement Attlee) and Vodka with Stalin – played to packed houses at Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate.
