Player Playwrights is on holiday now until January 2022 when we will return with a full programme of events, new play readings and fascinating insights with theatre, film and TV professionals.
The first event in the 2022 is not to be missed!
On Monday January 10, the legendary writing team of Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran will be discussing their new book, Shooting the Pilot.
The tome includes six of their hit pilot scripts, Like Birds of a Feather and The New Statesman, plus the one that got away. Lady Ottoline Pierpoint’s Guide to Intimate Behaviour for Gentlewomen was a pilot they wrote which never got made.
A live stage reading of the pilot will be followed by a discussion on why they think it didn't get made and about the changing TV comedy market in the UK.
More details about the evening and the rest of the new season revealed on here soon.
