Independence Day by Matthew Partridge

Central bankers Thomas and Maisie have a simple task. Just go down to London to sell enough oil rights to ensure that a newly independent Scotland doesn’t go bankrupt. However, when Thomas receives what appears to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to put one over the ‘old enemy’, things start to spiral out of control.

Independence Day is a farcical comedy about nationalism, history and the dangers of magical thinking.

Matthew Partridge is a financial journalist and published author who has produced several plays for various companies.
