FORBIDDEN FRUIT by Niall McCarthy, 7.30pm, Monday 11 July, Upstairs@NorthLondonTavern

Updated: Jan 11, 2023

Forbidden Fruit is a retelling of the story of Adam and Eve through the lens of a woman attending a catholic confessional and telling the priest that she's on her way to cheat on her husband... Niall McCarthy is a writer and stand-up comedian from Derry. His plays include "Star Fish" produced by Live Theatre Newcastle in 2020 and "The Sean and Gerry Breakfast Show" produced by Fishmail in 2021 at the Edinburgh Fringe (online).

The reading takes place Upstairs at The North London Tavern, and will be the last Player Playwright event before our Summer break.

During lockdown Player Playwright went online. The online events proved a success and so for this coming season we plan to alternate between live events at our traditional home, Upstairs at the North London Tavern, and online via Zoom.
