Player Playwrights returns with a new programme of new plays and events on Monday 13 January.
It kicks off with FLANAGAN, a contentious new drama from Terry Sanderson.
“Father Kevin Flanagan is an Irish priest of the old school, not a great fan of theology, with a faith that comes and goes with the wind. He’s a trusted parish servant and loved by all.
"But beneath the veneer of a smiling and humane priest, there lurks another Kevin Flanagan, a deluded and cunning man who poses a real threat to the most vulnerable in his care.
"In trying to protect itself from scandal, the Church merely succeeds in presenting new opportunities for a dangerous predator.”
Terry Sanderson is a writer and journalist with a long career contributing to the gay press. He has written nine books.
His experience in social work gave him the opportunity to work with Claire Rayner on the Woman’s Own problem page. He was president of the National Secular Society for ten years.
