CANCELLED DAMASCUS ROAD by  RICHARD FITCHETT, 7.30pm, 4 July, North London Tavern

Updated: Jan 11, 2023

This play reading has bene cancelled due to Covid.

Richard's play will be rescheduled for the next season.

Whilst watching a play that questions their and possibly the audience’s beliefs, Elena and Josh argue with the actors and join the play onstage to re-write lines, so that their views are presented and the audience don’t have their expectations challenged.

Damascus Road is a stage comedy with a running time of 75/80 minutes.

Richard Fitchett has had three full length fringe plays produced: the last received 5 star reviews and was nominated for a short run Offie. He worked on several plays during the pandemic and since ‘Freedom Day’. He is currently trying to find ways to get them staged.

An independent BBC Radio Producer has also shown interest in a script Richard had read at a Players-Playwrights Zoom in May 2021. This play is live Upstairs@NorthLondonTavern.

During lockdown Player Playwright went online. The online events proved a success and so for this coming season we plan to alternate between live events at our traditional home, Upstairs at the North London Tavern, and online via Zoom.
