7.30pm, Monday, 28 February: Talk with Katharine Way on Writing for Television - On Zoom


Katharine Way has been a commissioned writer of TV and radio drama since the 1990s, working on many of the most popular programmes - THE BILL, CASUALTY, EASTENDERS, EMMERDALE and daytime drama DOCTORS for which she has written over 100 episodes.

Her hour-long special to celebrate DOCTORS' 300th episode won the Soap Award for Best Single Episode and was nominated for an RTS Award. Katharine also has a TV show in development with BBC Studios. Katharine is also an active member and former Chair of the WGGB, the Writers' Guild of Great Britain.


During lockdown Player Playwright went online. The online events proved a success and so for this coming season we plan to alternate between live events at our traditional home, Upstairs at the North London Tavern, and online via Zoom.
