The 503 Theatre in Battersea, south London, has built a reputation as one of the most important theatres in the UK for new work and for new playwrights.

It has provided a home to the work of a number of Player Playwright members (most recently Gemma Mills McGrath, whose play Reunions played to packed houses earlier this month).

Steve Harper (above), literary manager for the 503 Theatre, talks about the theatre’s relationship with new writers and provides advise on getting your work produced.

He also provides insights on playwriting and advice for writers in dealing with theatres generally.

All Player Playwright events are open to all. Members pay £2.50 entry & non-members £4 entry.You can become a member on the night. All events start at 7.30pm and take place upper room, North London Tavern
