7.30pm Monday 11 June: A Bundle of Rags by Erica Litten

An arms dealer working for the British Government and his wife are in Saudi Arabia whilst he overseas a new contract. Outside their compound an African woman appears from nowhere, clutching what seems to be a bundle of rags. The sight of the woman provokes painful memories confronting them with loss and the devastating impact of war.

A ten minute short of this story won the Player Playwright's short competition of the year in 2017. Erica has since developed the piece into a full length play which explores how the arms trade has a profound influence on the lives of people around the world.
