What happens to our childhood friendships when we grow up and grow apart? Do we continue to recognise each other? And are they worth fighting for? It's 2010 and from the living room of a terrace in Stoke FAMILIAR follows Kelly, Leanne and Sara; charting a decade of their lives as they grow up, grow apart, fight and question what place the relationships we make in our formative years have in our adult lives. FAMILIAR is the debut play by actor Phoebe Sparrow. Having appeared in our screens in TV shows such as DOWNTON ABBEY *(ITV)* and INSIDE NO 9 *(BBC) *and with theatre credits including THE DRESSER *(DUKE OF YORKS)*, FATHERS AND SONS *(DONMAR WAREHOUSE)* and CITY STORIES *(ST JAMES AND OFF BROADWAY) *Phoebe began writing; having 2 short plays performed at The Bunker Theatre in 2017. FAMILIAR marks her full length debut and is inspired by the women she grew up with and their lack of representation on both stage and screen.
